Cards for different occasions

This card is for my daughter's friend who was celebrating her 14th birthday.

This card below is for a working peer who is furthering his studies in University Malaya. He was a temperory stuff of the school. When I was making this card, I had the intention of giving it to someone fun loving and easy going but I kept the card for a long while because there was no one who fitted my intention until much, much later. I was afraid that whoever recieved the card would be offended - being made a monkey but like I have explained earlier, it was meant for fun loving and easy going person and this person who recieved this card fitted my intention. All the best to this teacher who didn't have an easy time teaching because he was given last classes where students do as they like unless there is a firm hand. Ha Ha Ha

Hari Raya cards for Malay friends

This card is for a Malay friend and her two daughters. She is very closed to them and so a special card with three persons is drawn for her. Of course she has a husband but her two daughters are very precious to her.

This card is for the Malay teacher sitting next to me but I seldom see her as I am often not at my seat and she is often in the Science Lab. She teaches Malay but she is often at the Sci lab because her friends are there.

I wish to wish all my Malay friends : SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI

Hari Raya cards for my Malay friends

If you will notice, the Malay paper dolls are dressed in different fashion. Yes, the Malay costumes come in a wonderful variety of fashion. Today, we have really modern ones which I have not uploaded yet. But I need to apologize for the quality of the photos. Sigh..........I am supposed to have a good camera but ............eh...........maybe it is me who don't know how to take photos.

I certainly hope you will enjoy looking at the costumes, the variety of baju kurung : the graceful style of the Malay ladies.

Birthday card

The above card and the one below is actually quite similar except that the one below I have added more bling-blings. This birthday card was made for Deacon Thomas's 50th birthday.

We gave him a huge basket of fruits to enjoy. I didn't do an elaborate deco because I was running out of time. Hi friends, to make a beautiful fruit basket, it would be better if you use a basket with handle. You can really decorate the basket and make your gift really wonderful. But when you budget your buy, make sure you remember to set aside a sum of money for basket and deco.

Example: The budget is RM50.00. Remember your fruits should cost only around RM35 to RM40. If you use all RM50.00 to buy fruits, you will end up forking out a lot more than you can affort. It was a lesson learned by me. No one taught me. So sad.............he he he.

Hari Raya Cards - 3rd installment

This card taken at different angle with three festive lights is for the Malay discipline teachers
from the Board of Prefects.

This card is for the school counsellors who always work very closely with the discipline teachers. This year the school counsellors did a camp for the prefects to which I am extremely grateful. It was a good camp and the chief counsellor was really good in her talks. If there is another chance I would definitely get her to give another motivational talk to encourage the prefects to carry on with their almost thankless task.

Cards with dolls in Chinese costumes (2nd installment)

These are parts taken from the cards to show you my quilling which I am so proud about. Quilling is beautiful but it definitely needs lots of patience. Let me remind you that you do them only when you are free, otherwise you will get really frustrated twirling those tiny strips of paper on a toothpick.

You see the flower on her collar? Yeah, these flowers are actually nail stickers. I find them so beautiful and perfect for my dolls. Even the ear rings are nail stickers. I go crazy buying them, spending lots of money.

If you asked me if I have done any sales, well, to be honest - just some cards.
